Police who went to recover weapons were attacked with a pistol
Samrala 11 November (Dinesh Bhardvaj) On 10.11.2025, in case FIR No. 307 dated 04.11.2025, SI Pavittar Singh, Station House Officer, Police Station Samrala, and SI Narpinderpal Singh, In-charge, CIA Staff Khanna, along with the police party, went with the accused Harkaran Singh alias Karan, resident of Madpur, and Gurtej Singh alias Teji, resident of Chak Sarai, for the recovery of weapons.
When the police party reached the old vacant building near Kube Toll Plaza, during the process of weapon recovery, the accused Harkaran Singh alias Karan picked up a pistol and fired one shot towards the police party. The bullet hit SI Narpinderpal Singh, In-charge, CIA, in the thigh.
Thereafter, to save his own life and the lives of his fellow officers, SI Narpinderpal Singh, In-charge, CIA, fired one shot from his service pistol towards Harkaran Singh alias Karan, which struck him in the knee.
Meanwhile, the co-accused Gurtej Singh alias Teji took advantage of the situation and jumped from the first floor, but the police party managed to apprehend him as well.
